Organisational Maturity Assessment

The Organisational Maturity Assessment allows you to self-assess the current level of maturity within your organisation relating to the management of suppliers.

Alternatively, we can undertake the Maturity Assessment for/with you – please ask us for a quotation if you would like us to do this.

The Maturity Assessment is so valuable because it allows you/us to assess how good your organisation is at supplier management compared with what best practice supplier management looks like.  With our decades of experience, we have developed a series of best practice statements covering all aspects of supplier management.

The Maturity Assessment also allows you to decide upon the level of maturity in supplier management that you want your organisation to reach.

Once you know where you are starting from, and where you want to get to, then you can plan your journey to better supplier management.

Why?

The Organisational Maturity Assessment is an essential step on your journey to improved supplier management.  It baselines how good you are at supplier management, and it allows you to easily identify where improvements can be made.

What is the Organisational Maturity Assessment?

An Excel-based tool that allows you to gain both a quantitative and qualitative view of your current maturity in supplier management.

How should you use it?

Map the people in your organisation who you would want to provide inputs you’re your Maturity Assessment.

Hold facilitated calls/meetings with each of those stakeholders and get them to feedback examples and details of what works well and what does not.  They can also provide a scoring on the graded scale used in the Maturity Assessment.

Once you have all the inputs, produce a summary report highlighting the results and making recommendations for improvements.

We can support you with this if you wish – please ask us for details.

When?

A Maturity Assessment should be completed every 12 months or so, to ensure you are continuing to maintain and improve your maturity in managing suppliers.

Who?

An individual who has expertise in Supplier Management should lead the Maturity Assessment process.   A variety of people in your organisation can contribute to it.
